Sack paper

Opal’s sack kraft papers are manufactured for high performance in demanding filling, handling, and transportation environments. Produced at our Maryvale Mill from virgin kraft fibre, these papers combine high tensile strength, controlled stretch, and tailored porosity to deliver exceptional bag performance — whether for industrial goods, agricultural produce, or food products.

Sack Paper

Product description

The sack kraft range includes high‑porosity grades for faster filling without perforations, semi‑extensible papers for enhanced drop resistance, and flat sack grades that provide consistent strength and runnability. All grades are recyclable and designed for optimal converting performance.

High Porosity Sack Kraft

Grammage: 70, 80, 90 g/m²

  • Dark brown colour.
  • MD stretch: 8% with high porosity.
  • High MD and CD Tensile Energy Absorption (TEA) values — our highest levels.
  • Allows high‑speed filling without perforations.
  • Reduces dust for a cleaner working environment.
  • Applications: 50 kg cement sacks, high‑speed filling lines, dust‑sensitive plants.
Semi Extensible Sack Kraft

Grammage: 70, 80, 85, 90 g/m²

  • Dark brown colour.
  • MD stretch: 6.5%.
  • High MD and CD TEA values for strength and drop resistance.
  • Suited to valve multiwall sacks.
  • Requires perforations when used for fine powders.
  • Applications: Industrial multiwall valve sacks, bulk goods requiring strong drop performance.
Flat Sack Kraft

Includes: Australian Premium Kraft Sack (APSK), AP Natural Kraft (APNK), Natural Kraft Paper (NKP)


Grammage Ranges:

  • APSK: 65, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 g/m²
  • APNK: 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 100, 120 g/m²
  • NKP: as per customer specification

  • Virgin kraft fibre construction.
  • Light to dark brown shades depending on grade.
  • APSK: high CD TEA for superior drop performance.
  • APNK: ideal for boutique and retail bag styles.
  • NKP: consistent strength for varied sack and bag applications.
